Position Description
The Data Analyst, Business Analytics is a strategic position that plays a pivotal role in the success of the broader Zayo organization. The role will partner with business teams across the organization, from Finance & Accounting, Business Development, Product, IT, Sales, Analytics, & Operations to devise and execute data-driven business strategy.
The right candidate will possess advanced financial, analytical and decision-making skills. The role requires someone who is passionate about data quality, data analytics and automation in order to drive business strategy. The role requires strong analytical and financial skills, advanced Salesforce.com experience, a process improvement mindset, and effective communication.
The Data Analyst, Business Analytics will uncover opportunities for growth across our geographic business units by leveraging the wealth of quantitative data and qualitative intelligence from our organization and translating it into clear, actionable insights.
The Data Analyst, Business Analytics will amplify our growth by implementing and maintaining a process for methodical focus on all areas of the business that can generate and enhance revenue in each geographic region. The role is responsible for the implementation and execution of scalable processes and reporting to drive collaboration and cooperation across teams such as product, business development, finance & accounting, pricing, IT & automation, data strategy, analytics, customer success, sales, and customer intelligence. By pulling together all stakeholders and disciplines in a programmatic approach, the role creates a comprehensive, actionable playbook for its assigned regions and geographies based on our data and systems. The playbook is a clear roadmap for leveraging our deep and dense networks, our focus on infrastructure, our world class systems, and our innovative and entrepreneurial teams to meet and exceed our growth objectives.
Responsibilities
Core duties and responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:
Work with other areas of the business to drive enhanced data, financial and operational reporting and analytics platform
Build, maintain and enhance dashboards, presentations, data models and data pipelines
Identify and automate inefficiencies in the methods the organization currently uses to gather important business data by developing a systemic framework as well as improve data flows
Provides governance on data accuracy and ensures integrity of data components in key analysis projects and playbooks
Run processes that use data to identify market and business trends to increase profits and efficiency
Implement and maintain methodologies for tracking and reporting on key business operational and financial metrics
Understand, utilize, and maximize our data, Oracle Financials, and Salesforce.com capabilities to optimize business insights
Qualifications
2+ years of data analysis/finance experience; Telecom experience preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Analytics, Operations Management, or Data Science
Advanced skillset in Microsoft Excel and G-Suite applications; experience with Oracle Financials preferred
Knowledge of Salesforce.com and/or telecommunications data systems and processes a plus
Passion for creating a data driven culture and delivering value
Ability to coordinate across teams and disciplines to drive process improvements and automation
Proficient in Operational Finance principles, experience with fp&a and financial reporting a plus
Self-starter who is able to tackle work in an unstructured environment, comfortable with ambiguity
Ability to adapt to change quickly, as well as manage a high-volume workload efficiently and effectively
A team player who can collaborate naturally on high priority projects and initiatives
Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritize
Strong financial acumen and a passion for data
Must be highly organized and a strong communicator both written and verbal

Base salary range: $55,191-$60,285
Full-time Zayo employees are also eligible for discretionary quarterly short-term and long-term incentive cash bonuses which are based on the performance of the Company, an employee’s business segment, and the individual employee
