Job Description

The Commissions Analyst will report in the Sales Operations department and will work cross-functionally with various teams to administer the day-to-day affairs of sales compensation plans, quota setting and crediting process. This includes, but is not limited to, plan distribution, monthly earnings calculations, accrual calculations, and account reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

  • Timely and accurate completion of monthly and quarterly commission accruals and payments

  • Ongoing management and administration of Xactly commission software

  • Responsible for maintaining accurate records and core data requirements for to calculate commission

  • Distribution of compensation plan Terms & Conditions, Individual Plans, Amendments, and other documentation as required

  • Creation and maintenance of commissions statements, reports, and regular and ad-hoc reporting for Sales Operations and leadership

  • Timely distribution and training of compensation plans and systems for new employees

  • Manage exception process and documentation of approved exceptions

  • Manage and calculate SPIFF or other ad-hoc payments

  • Respond to commissions and bonus inquiries which includes conducting research and preparing commission related adjustments

  • Partner with Finance, Sales Operations, Commissions, and Sales to review commissions regularly and evaluate compensation plan effectiveness

  • Able to work cross-functionally between operations, finance, deal desk and accounting, managing multiple tasks with an attention to detail and timelines

  • Support FP&A efforts for budgeting and forecasting of commissions.

  • Recommend corrective or alternative actions to resolve compensation-related problems

  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in sales commissions, preferably with direct Software as a Service (SaaS) industry experience at a high-growth company.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Proven ability to manage confidential information and follow procedures to collect, organize and maintain sensitive information with high discretion

  • Experience with Xactly and Salesforce.com preferred

  • Experience with Salesforce reporting preferred

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel

  • Proven track record leading small to medium sized projects and initiatives from requirements to go-live

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills
