THE ROLE:

We are seeking a full-time Clinical Data Analyst II to join our PBM Analytics team. In this role, you'll be responsible for creating data analyses that demonstrate our company's impact to clients and strategic partners.The Clinical Data Analyst II is responsible for supporting the development and execution of analytics, providing data-driven strategic insights, and creating customized analytic approaches in a pharmacy benefits setting. The role supports Rightway’s PBM management, operations, and other internal departments. The Clinical Data Analyst II will develop and deliver complex analytical needs, including analyzing and modeling for quarterly performance reviews, and for ad hoc client inquiries. 

To be successful in this role, you'll need a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 3+ years of experience in quantitative analytics, conducting advanced analytic modeling for large claims databases. You should also have 3+ years of experience querying and analyzing pharmacy claims data and experience gathering and documenting requirements from clients or the business. You will need to be proficient with SQL and have experience with process improvement, workflow, and benchmarking.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Providing superior analytic modeling with a focus on client satisfaction, retention, and trend management
  • Supporting short and long term operational and strategic business activities
  • Identifying and analyzing opportunities to manage trend and improve our company's services
  • Designing, executing, and maintaining advanced PBM analytics, conducting and evaluating trend analyses
  • Efficiently extracting and manipulating pharmacy claim data for internal and external clients
  • Using your analytic skills to perform client-specific analyses in response to business questions and communicate the findings, including data sources, methodology, outcomes, and recommendations
  • Communicating drug cost, utilization, and trend information to requesters and responding to plan-specific analytic inquiries
  • Presenting clinical and financial findings based on analytic insights to internal or external partners
  • Developing, enhancing, and maintaining operational information and models that will have an impact on business execution
  • Demonstrating a high achievement drive and delivering superior performance
  • Generating innovative ideas that can be scaled across the organization
  • Routinely identifying, developing, and sharing best practice experience with peers
  • Routinely collaborating with clinical consulting and account management to provide clinical aspects of client quarterly reviews

WHO YOU ARE: 

  • Intermediate level of proficiency with SQL 
  • Proficiency with relational databases, database structures
  • 3+ years of experience in quantitative analytics and conducting advanced analytic modeling for large claims databases  
  • 3+ years of industry experience querying and analyzing pharmacy claims data
  • Experience gathering and documenting requirements from the client/business 
  • Ability to communicate analysis to business partners and clients in writing and verbally                                                       
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years of managed care or PBM experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in analytics, CS or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Advanced level of proficiency with at least one data query and analysis tools (SQL, SAS, Python)
  • AWS experience, Glue or Redshift is a big plus
  • Proven experience with version control, engineering SDLC, coding standards

SALARY RANGE: 

  • $95k-$130k
