The ideal Business Strategy Consultant possesses a multifaceted set of skills including a strong understanding of the current merchandising and retail environment with hands on experience in buying/merchandising and/or retail consulting. The Consultant will partner with business teams to improve overall performance for specific Fanatics business partners. As a consultant, you will work both independently and within a team to tackle sophisticated business issues at both the strategic and operational levels. The Business Consultant will act as both an advisor and liaison for the partner and the Company to optimize business performance in the areas of merchandising, licensing, and retail operations. This individual will have a retail analytics background using available analytical tools to develop insights for the partner, thereby improving the business strategy and plan goals. The role requires account management skills, strong interpersonal, and written skills. The Strategy Consultant will communicate approaches and results through developed data sets, key business presentations, and ad hoc deliverables as requested by the partner. The function will monitor ongoing business performance and make recommendations based upon their analysis and observations. 



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

- Develop and maintain key partner relationships and generate partner revenues from these relationships.


- Coordinate merchandising services. Advise the partner on how to improve all aspects of merchandising (assortment, trends, etc.)


- Oversee merchandise product development services. Work with the team to suggest new, localized items to grow the business.


- Identify, monitor, and analyze key performance metrics to help forecast trends and meet financial goals. 


- Coordinate with both and partner and internal marketing and CRM teams to optimize campaigns and strategies across channels.


- Coordinate with other departmental leaders to analyze growth opportunities and lead data driven business recommendations to the partner. 


- Periodically lead discussions on key partner key business initiatives.


- Other duties as assigned or required.



EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field required.


- 5-7 years of related experience in product/merchandising/purchasing, multi-channel retail, business analytics, and ecommerce.


- Retail consulting experience desirable. 


- Consistent track record of success meeting business goals and leading partner relationships.


- Proven knowledge of data analysis and interpretation with experience in data visualization.


- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.


- Ability to think strategically, creatively, and analytically. 


- Excellent interpersonal and prioritization skills with keen attention to detail.


- Outstanding work ethic, ability to perform under pressure and achieve goals timely, and demonstrate passion.


- Some travel required as well as the ability to work nights and weekends as needed.


- Ability to build effective working relationships with others inside and outside the organization.
