Webroot is currently seeking an experienced Business Operations Analyst to join our Business and Agile Operations team. In this role you will work with our stakeholders to maintain and improve reporting while analyzing project needs and detailing requirements.  For the business professional looking for a diverse role where you will work with an eclectic mix of technologies and business units, as well as stakeholders at various levels in the organization, this could be the role for you.  This is a chance to be involved with a high-visibility group within the organization that produces reports and research that is often influential in key business decisions.  You will use your natural investigative and problem-solving skills to help develop new and creative business solutions while conducting insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues with the ultimate goal of better serving our customers.

Your consultative abilities will be critical as you provide insights into business performance and key drivers of the business. Your work will include building and maintaining reporting dashboards for KPIs with focus on identifying and championing initiatives to improve overall business performance.  Emphasis of this position is the ability to translate data into insight. A large portion of your time will be spent on director level analysis with your recommendations directly shaping business strategy.  You will also update and maintain our knowledgebase. The Business Analyst role is based out of our Broomfield, CO office but will work with development and business staff world-wide.  This role requires you to construct forecasts, recommendations, and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge.  You will create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and available data elements.  This role may provide consultation to users and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues while directly producing datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools. You will become a trusted advisor as you take ownership of project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports and recommending actions. Key to your success will be your ability to effectively address and interact with senior management through strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills. You will actively engage and work closely with colleagues to understand their needs and where improvements can be made to support the company's strategy.

Responsibilities, skills and experience required for this role are as follows:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strong interviewing and active-listening skills to understand and solve stakeholder pain
  • Identifies project requirements by interviewing, analyzing operations, determining project scope, documenting results, and communicating clearly and effectively to stakeholders 
  • Prepares stakeholders to use systems by conducting training
  • Ability to manage, prioritize, and deliver on multiple concurrent work items with varying levels of effort, value, and lead time required
  • Steers projects to ensure delivery of business value.  Is visible, vocal, and objective
  • Maintain and populate our Customer Support data for our Business Intelligence tools
  • Maintain, create, edit, and populate content in our knowledgebase and customer support systems
  • Must be internal operations-focused and external client focused while working with multiple types of business data
  • Proactively communicates and collaborates with stakeholders to define and solve issues leading to business process streamlining and improvement
  • Verifies results by completing tests and assists with documentation requirements involved with enhancements
  • Monitors project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, and recommending actions
  • Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 1 plus years of experience in a business analyst position
  • 1 plus years of experience with Agile (Scrum) software development
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and gathering requirements from all levels of an organization
  • Proven ability to identify, evaluate, and recommend technical and business alternatives that meet requirements
  • MS Office Suite, basic HTML / CSS / jQuery
  • Knowledge and experience with basic relational databases such as SQL is helpful
  • Strong organizational/project management skills with the ability to pay strong attention to detail while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team oriented, agile development environment
  • Proven ability to edit and create content to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Hands on development experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, QlikView, Domo, SSRS or other dashboard presentation tools
  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience preferred
