We are currently looking for a Business Intelligence Developer to join our Denver, CO based team. As Business Intelligence Developer you will play an integral role in supporting PointsBet's continued growth and success.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

• Partner with key Executive staff with focus on Financial and Regulatory reporting
• Develop engaging and focused analytical reports & visualizations
• Extract, interpret, and present data and insights using MS SQL, Spark SQL and Power BI
• Follow processes and methodologies around implementing and supporting BI systems
• Assist stakeholders to define, clarify, and document reporting and analytical requirements
• Strong stakeholder interaction skills and the ability to communicate insights in a manner that aids and informs decision making
• Establish effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, same department teams, senior management, and external parties
• Ensure the accuracy of reported information and work with data stewards in a cycle of continuous improvement of data quality
• Establish automation and QA processes necessary to ensure quality provided to the business
• Ensure the accuracy of reported information and work with data stewards in a cycle of continuous improvement
• Build and maintain a strong documentation repository
• Become an expert in digital wagering data and information
• Assist users to define, clarity, and document reporting and analytical requirements
• Build and maintain a strong documentation repository for all BI related works.
• Establish automation and QA processes necessary to ensure the quality of data being provided to the business
• Perform coaching and training sessions on processes within and outside the team as the business requires

SKILLS WE SEEK

• 3/5+ years of experience in querying data using T-SQL or similar
• Experience with reporting & visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SSRS
• Experience with data modelling and data warehouse processes
• Strong history in data analysis and presenting insights visually
• Experience working with State and/or Regulatory bodies
• Experience in using project management and documentation tools such as JIRA and Confluence is a plus.
• Proficiency in data visualization techniques and dashboard creation in Power BI
• Deep analytics experience and ability to interpret and utilize data to support decision making
• Ability to construct complex queries and manage large data sets and knowledge of and ability to use SQL/Spark SQL with advanced queries
• Ability to understand, troubleshoot and guide Executive on Financial/Regulatory discrepancies
• Advanced data modelling capabilities
• Ability to communicate and present clearly
• The ability to think creatively and problem solve is critical
• Strong attention to details and design skills
• Strong commercial acumen
