SonderMind is seeking a Business Analytics Manager to support the growth of our business units. The Business Analytics Manager will provide proactive insights to enable business partners to propel Sondermind forward. In this role, you will be managing the team of data analysts while being hands on in supporting various business units.   As our ideal candidate,  you are an out of the box thinker and enjoy diving deep into the data to analyze problems and develop insights and solutions. You also are a proven people manager who enjoys coaching the team on best practices.   


Key Outcomes 

  • By the end of two weeks, understand all data available across the business and identify key areas of opportunity for efficiency and process improvement. Work with the team to learn roles and responsibilities and offer immediate support.
  • By the end of month one, complete an analysis with actionable insights that is projected to impact a key performance indicator.  
  • By the end of month two, increase proactive, actionable insights from the analysis organization through better alignment and planning with individual business units. 
  • By the end of month three, empower business partners to self-serve answers for the day to day operations of their business. Deliver insights, at least on a monthly basis, that move the needle on company KPIs. Achieve integration of 80% of identified data sources into the data warehouse.


Gotta Have: 

  • Growth mindset: You aren’t afraid of new challenges and learning new things. Whether at work or outside of work, you are constantly looking for ways to improve. 
  • 3+ years of proven management experience. You have already learned how to train and motivate your team and have led them to accomplish big, hairy, audacious goals.
  • Demonstrated experience in collecting, organizing and analyzing key business performance metrics, to include developing actionable management reports.
  • Exceptional Excel and data analysis skills, including a good grasp of statistics. Experience in a business intelligence tool (Looker, Data Studio, etc.)
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and adhere to deadlines
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced, quickly growing and changing environment.
  • Proven experience performing analytical deep-dives to analyze problems and opportunities, identify hypotheses and help design & measure experiments.
  • Expertise working with the business partners and being able to understand their true needs in order to be able to deliver  them value
  • Demonstrated excellence in critical thinking skills (e.g., thinking beyond the immediate data request at hand).
  • 6+ years of post-undergrad work experience.

  • Data Engineering experience
  • Master’s in Business Administration
