POSITION SUMMARY:

 

ArcherDX is expanding its Biorepository Program and seeking an eager individual to become a part of the team. The purpose of our Biorepository is to collect and store samples to meet all of our internal testing requirements, which will include feasibility and analytical validation studies. As we build out our current bank, we will be able to meet our future project needs more efficiently. The individual selected for this position will perform responsibilities crucial to the maintenance, organization, and overall functionality of the Biorepository.

 

There is potential for the scope of this position to expand as the below responsibilities become more routine and streamlined. The expanded role could include increased biorepository responsibilities and/or addition of laboratory testing activities.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Job performance will involve a variety of activities including:

  • Retaining organization of all patient specimens received.
  • Ensuring samples are maintained at appropriate storage temperatures.
  • Helping to establish an efficient and robust barcoding system.
  • Entering and/or verifying specimen metadata into our internal tracking system.
  • Assisting with sample requisitions.
  • Review, understanding, and compliance with ArcherDX HIPAA Security policies and procedures.
  • Safeguarding the privacy and security of protected health information and European Union personal data.
  • Processing and handling of personal data only as directed by ArcherDX for purposes of personalized molecular pathology.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • 0-2 years of experience - 
  • Prior human specimen handling experience preferred.
  • Prior laboratory experience preferred.
  • Prior sample banking experience would be ideal.

 

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Biology, Chemistry, or similar degree preferred).
