BI BUSINESS ANALYST

We are currently looking for a BI Business Analyst to join our Denver based team.As the BI Business Analyst, you will report to and Director of Business Intelligence, playing an integral role in building a team that supports PointsBet's continued growth and success.

ROLE DESCRIPTION
The BI Business Analyst researches and documents the data and reporting requirements for the Business Intelligence team. You will act as the subject matter expert with a focus on gathering and documenting data and report requirements. Facilitate information gathering session with key business representatives to ensure delivered products meet or exceed user expectations. Acts as a knowledge resource for a variety of internal customers. Works closely with BI development teams to test changes prior to sending to users for approval.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN

• Conduct/perform Design thinking sessions, Market research, data analysis, Business analysis, use case and KPI development with business stakeholders
• Work collaboratively with business partners to review requirements and architecture appropriate solutions
• Establish effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, same department teams, senior management, and external parties
• Responsible for translating business needs into technical solutions with an iterative approach
• Managing the product backlog Prioritization and release management
• Build and maintain a strong documentation repository for all BI related works
• Become an expert in digital wagering data and information

SKILLS WE SEEK

• 2-4 Years of experience in BSA role with strong background and experience with Data BI/Visualization, Insights & analytics, and Power BI
• Casino and/or Sportsbook industry experience is a strong plus
• Experience in using project management and documentation tools such as JIRA and Confluence is a plus
• Experience with reporting & visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SSRS a plus
• Ability to use and model in Excel and SQL
• Gaming experience a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
• Demonstrated knowledge in business process diagramming tools and methods
• The ability to think creatively and problem solve is critical
