The Partnerships team at ODX works with leading global financial institutions to transform how they lend to small businesses. Our team has a purpose-driven impact in helping fuel large scale small business growth, the backbone of the economy, through our banking and financial services partners. We develop and implement the next generation platform while collaborating in an innovative startup environment with the support of an established profitable business and client base.
As an Analyst, Business Intelligence and Strategy at OnDeck, you will:
Be responsible for developing and maintaining reports for internal and external stakeholders. You’ll be required to extract data to create ad-hoc analyses that enable deeper understanding of customer segments, operations procedures, business trends and portfolio performance. You will need a keen eye for interpreting and prioritizing daily requests for data. Additionally, you will be involved in product enhancement initiatives and provide analytical insights to strategic projects. As a lean organization with a startup mentality, you will wear many hats and support activities, projects and functions for multiple teams. You will work with front line agents and directors alike, so relationship management will be critical. Communication is the key to success in this role.
Developing SQL queries - The majority of the company’s data exists in cloud storage. You will be the primary resource for fetching and manipulating tables to provide information to decision makers.
Delivering Reports - Stakeholders on all sides of the business require organized data for decision making and regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for ensuring timely and effective delivery.
Supporting Strategic Projects - As an intelligence analyst, your input will be valued when making decisions on where and how to dedicate resources in a dynamic roadmap environment.
Problem Solving - “Fire drills” are a part of life in a new industry and market space. You will be a resource for finding solutions to bridge gaps in a highly dynamic regulatory and policy-oriented department.
Necessary qualifications for success:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (finance, mathematics, economics, computer science, business)
- Skills in SQL, Tableau, ETL, R, Python or other coding / data tools*
- *Willing to consider applicants who are willing to learn these tools if candidate is overwhelmingly strong in other areas*
- Ability to pass a criminal history check and drug screening
This position requires a solutions-oriented individual, capable of critical thinking under deliverable time constraints. We operate in a relaxed office atmosphere but interact daily with highly regulated and established banks partners. You will need to be able to identify and adapt to social queues and bring a level of professionalism and emotional IQ to the table. You need to be very open to change and willing to wear a number of hats. “Multitasking” is critical as well as organization and time management skills. Finally, you have to be passionate about the product! This is a chance to get involved in a game-changing technology in the lending industry.
