About the position

We are looking for a knowledgeable and hands-on AI/ML Lead Engineer Developer to join our data science and data engineering team.  The person in this position must love data and have a demonstrated working knowledge of the use of the everyday tools needed in developing AI/ML solutions.  You will be collaborating with the VP of AI Technologies to build out the AI/ML capabilities across all segments of the IntelePeer Atmosphere product lines, influencing data science process and pipeline decisions, and implementing scalable AI/ML solutions.

The ideal candidate will have experience going beyond conceptual data science and product work by taking an embryonic AI/ML product or service, and creating a solution leveraging the appropriate machine learning and cloud services capabilities that achieves IntelePeer’s business goals. While not a requirement, given our suite of offerings, any voice, telecom or NLP domain knowledge is a plus.

This is a highly visible and strategic position at IntelePeer that will play a key role in the next leg of our AI/ML growth.

REPORTS TO: VP of AI Technologies

Position responsibilities

  • IntelePeer is a product and data driven company, so position will be responsibility for helping lead the discovery and development of omni-channel focused machine learning solutions built around a highly scalable omnichannel, voice and data core
  • Interaction with the product, AI/ML, DevOps and engineering teams needed to achieve goals

Education

  • BS or BA degree in Economics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, or related fields, with a Masters preferred

Expertise & experience

  • At least 4 years of using Python libraries for AI/ML in an IDE; experience with Jupyter Labs a plus
  • Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks, as well as traditional statistical approaches and related derived ML algorithms (e.g., XGBoost)   
  • 5-7 years of professional experience
  • Strong SQL skills, and a familiarity with BI Tools, with Looker preferred
  • Experience working with or creating AI/ML pipelines, architectures or equivalent cloud services
  • Exposure to analyzing data from 3rd party providers: e.g. Google Analytics, Heap, ZoomInfo, AppCues, or other a plus
  • Other Pluses – work experience in GCP; exposure to Kafka or MSK; work with NLP
