About the job

OrthoFi is looking for an experienced Agile Business Analyst with a passion for collaborating on development and implementing solutions in our Payment Processing space. You will be responsible for developing the product backlog and technical stories for OrthoFi's Payment processing platform, utilized across our product offerings, and leveraged by our partners through integrations as part of our financial services solutions. You will help drive execution of its implementation with our development team and organization.

 

As an Agile Business Analyst for payments, you will collaborate with OrthoFi's Product Leadership, Executive team, stakeholders and clients. You will use your business acumen to understand the needs of our clients and how our payment processing can support their continued growth; directly through use of our products, as well as through integrations with other commonly used applications in Orthodontic practices. You will use your agile skillset to engage in story refinement, requirements gathering, and identify innovative solutions that enable patients to easily pay for treatment using best in class hardware and payment technology from one of the FinTech industries leading innovator and enable our customers to accept payment methods ranging from credit to digital options like Apple and Google Pay. 

 

We use Slack for internal communications. As a member of our Product team, you must be able to effectively communicate in memes. Coffee also fuels us. Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Work with the Product Director for Payments, end-users and stakeholders to document user requirements, and translate them into user stories 
  • Conduct interviews with business owners and stakeholders to gather requirements and/or understand current business processes
  • Develop and maintain the payments product backlog 
  • Work with leadership, stakeholders and customers to identify product and feature priorities that support the goals of the business
  • Lead and participate in agile ceremonies for sprint planning and user story refinement
  • Field questions from stakeholders/end users during user acceptance testing and perform preliminary triage to aid in identifying solutions and potential enhancements
  • Partner with the Product Director for payments to resolve impediments and drive to meet commitments
  • Understand the landscape of payment processing, trends and upcoming changes to regulations that may affect our business
  • Collaborate with product director and team to Identify risks in solution development and client implementations and create and manage mitigation plans to ensure successful outcomes
  • Understand the capabilities of competitive solutions in the payment space
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure designs meet requirements

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience implementing 3rd party solutions through APIs
  • Knowledge of APIs and integration architectures and development approaches 
  • Knowledge of or experience with software solutions that leverage integrated hardware, for example Point of Sale equipment
  • Strong agile skillset to gather and synthesize requirements, manage a product backlog and build relationships with our stakeholders
  • Experience working with client facing applications, SaaS, architecture design
  • Expertise leading agile software development teams in a ScrumMaster capacity.
  • Payment processing experience is a plus
  • Healthcare and/or healthcare software experience a plus
  • Mad meme skills
  • FinTech or Payment Processor experience
