Summary/Objective: 

As a member of our newly formed product team, you will be the glue that connects customer needs to technical requirements for the website development team and ensure we deliver solutions to make it easy for our customers to do business with us. As a Business Analyst you will work with various stakeholders across the company to gather feedback on existing functionality as well as new ideas and translate feedback into simplified technical requirements in the Agile methodology including epics, features, and user stories. You will also help drive roadmaps using data to establish a prioritization based on customer need, development effort, and revenue opportunity to enable the team to work as fast as possible on high-impact opportunities that create a better customer experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Advocate for customers and business teams and accurately gather feedback and ideas for website and app improvements
  • Create functional and technical requirements for the development team to articulate customer needs through epics, features, and user stories
  • Evolve Agile sprint process to create better communication across the company and enable more efficient, faster delivery
  • Gather business intelligence and data to help make data-driven roadmap decisions
  • Support sales team and deliver product demos that communicate value proposition and exceed customer expectations

Competency:

  • 4+ years experience with Agile processes and methods such as Kanban and Scrum
  • Proven track record of delivering Agile milestones which include user story definition, grooming, commitment, and delivery
  • Exceptional project management skills and able to manage multiple projects in parallel
  • Strong interpersonal skills that bridge business stakeholders and development process
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, to drive the entire team to success
  • Thrive in situations where one must efficiently make sense of chaos
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance in a rapidly changing environment
  • Service oriented attitude with rapid responsiveness to internal and external requests
  • Strong facilitation skills, drive for results, attention to quality and detail, and a collaborative attitude

Required Education & Experience:

  • 5+ years as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, Technical Analyst, Systems Analyst, Business Process Analyst, or similar role
  • Previous experience with IT projects or software projects
  • Will have Atlassian stack experience - JIRA, Confluence, etc. (preferably design process for and implementing Atlassian tools)
