 Training Specialist (Entry Level)

About This Position

The Training Specialist reports directly to the Training Coordinator and will be responsible for help in developing, delivering, and maintaining a successful training program for our clients and booj team. The individual in this role will work with the team to plan, organize and execute all aspects of the training program. The Training Specialist also consults with members of the Design, Development, Deployment, Data, Marketing, and Sales Departments as needed. This person will be an integral part in communicating our unique products, and creating excitement through knowledge sharing!

 

The main responsibilities for this position include:

  • Establish dynamic training curriculums for clients to be continually educated as new products and tools are available

  • Create training plans, design, and develop training programs (to be used internally and externally)

  • Develop and produce in-depth, technical, engaging, instructional and educational materials (including handouts, videos, and online quizzes and tests)

  • Maintain updated curriculum database and training records to include versioning

  • Create and facilitate ‘Train the Trainer’ webinars with clients and internal staff

  • Monitor the results of the Training Department initiatives

  • Conduct organization wide needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps needing to be addressed, then fill those gaps

  • Marketing for Training Department initiatives

  • Other tasks needed to support the goals of the Training Department

 

The Ideal Candidate Would Have

  • A passion for training, public speaking, and an engaging, outgoing personality.

  • Degree in Education, Business, Communications or related field (equivalent work experience also acceptable)

  • Proven record of success in a similar role

  • Experience in Technical Writing

  • Previous experience creating and maintaining a training curriculum in another position

 

Required Skills

 

  • Highly self-motivated, ability to work without direct supervision

  • A positive, outgoing and engaging outlook with regards to training.

  • High productivity, strong work ethic, commitment to meeting deadlines

  • Ability to quickly grasp new situations and synthesize large amounts of information

  • Organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments, due dates and priorities

  • Ability to clearly express ideas and questions verbally and in writing

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team

  • Strong communication with fellow employees and management

  • Strong understanding of and desire to learn new technology

 

Bonus Skills

  • Knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools, including experience using these to facilitating a training program

  • Experience hosting online training/webinars

  • Experience with Litmos and Flare

  • Agile experience

  • Knowledge of our industry (specifically real estate and the benefits technology can provide to this industry)

  • Experience using project management or ticketing applications, specifically Jira

 

Location

This position is for a full time, on-site Trainer in our corporate headquarters located in Denver, Colorado
