As a Technical Writer at Granicus, your contributions will help employees of federal, state, and local government organizations learn to be successful with our industry-leading suite of products. The successful candidate will work closely with software developers, product managers, trainers, and other subject matter experts to understand our products, collect information, and write and maintain documents for end-users.

This position requires writing/editing experience, as well as strong verbal communication and organization skills.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Is skilled in pursuing creative solutions to problems
  • Thrives working as a member of a team while also being able to manage their own schedule
  • Excels at conveying complex technological concepts to a general audience

What You Get To Do:

  • Write and update online user guides, FAQs, release notes, and how-to articles
  • Help maintain network diagrams, support matrices, and other visual materials
  • Assist with internal documentation for training, implementation, and other procedures
  • Edit materials written by team members across the organization as needed
  • Review other writers’ work and provide constructive feedback/suggest edits
  • Perform other documentation tasks as assigned

Skills & Requirements

What We Need In You:

  • Strong writing skills with an excellent grasp of grammar and syntax; strong attention to detail
  • Ability to describe advanced or technical concepts in an accessible, easy-to-understand manner
  • Ability to get up to speed on new applications and system features quickly and with little oversight
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-directed with a passion for learning new things
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google applications
  • Experience writing software documentation (e.g., user guides, administrative guides, release notes, training manuals, implementation guides, technical specifications)
  • Experience using online support/CMS/content editing applications (e.g., Confluence, Madcap Flare, XMetal, Robohelp, MindTouch, Zendesk)

Preferred Things We Would Like To See In You:

  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Adobe Photoshop
  • Experience creating technical, network, or workflow diagrams

1999 Broadway is located in-between Denver’s Downtown and Uptown neighborhoods. Granicus occupies the 36 and 37 floors of the building.
