About the Role:
JumpCloud is seeking an enthusiastic Technical Curriculum Developer to join our Customer Education team. The CEd team empowers the IT community to grow their skills and maximize their success with JumpCloud through engaging learning experiences. JumpCloud University and our Certification program are driving massive impact and proving to be exceptionally popular with almost 300 certified IT admins in the first 9 months of the program!
You’re a passionate learner with a keen understanding of adult learning theories and instructional design. You love building content that motivates learners and promotes retention. You work exceedingly well with subject matter experts to gather complex technical information and translate that into digestible learning experiences.
Design course content that fulfills the needs of JumpCloud learners.
Outline course content around clearly stated learning objectives in collaboration with subject matter experts.
Develop and maintain digital learning content such as asynchronous courses, tutorial videos, graphics, simulations, and assessments.
Write concise yet powerful tutorial video scripts.
Collaborate with our Customer Education Manager to update existing content for release updates and to create new content for program needs.
Support the development and maintenance of JumpCloud’s certification content.
Proven ability to build and maintain education curriculum for SaaS
Proficiency with tools such as Articulate 360, Storyline, Rise, Camtasia, Adobe, and Learning Management Systems
2+ years experience in instructional design
Portfolio showcasing examples of engaging self-paced learning opportunities, writing samples, and impacts to the overall objective(s)
Ability to quickly understand technical products and effectively present technically complex information to any audience
Excellent verbal, written, and grammatical skills
Experience in graphic design, screencasting, and/or audio recording a plus

Where you’ll be working
All our roles are remote in the U.S. unless otherwise specified. Our Headquarters is in the Denver/Boulder, CO area. Once we reopen our offices you will have the opportunity to remain fully remote (in the U.S.), work from one of our office locations (CO only currently) or flex your time.

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual compensation range for this role is $75,000-$90,000, including base salary and any related bonuses or commissions. JumpCloud provides comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, short and long term disability, life insurance and a 401k savings plan. We have an unlimited vacation policy.
