The Opportunity: 

We’re seeking a Content Marketing Copywriter to join our fast-paced marketing team and scale our content marketing efforts. This person will report to the Content Marketing Director and own responsibility for writing various types of marketing content to fulfill a critical role in Mersive’s brand building and market education efforts. The role requires a confident, self-directed individual contributor who can independently research and write a variety of content including blogs, websites, social media posts, email drip campaigns, case studies, white papers, and more as needed. This role is highly collaborative and will have direct contact with the leadership team on a regular basis.

Writing samples must include a variety of writing styles including short form blog posts (400-600 words), case studies, and website or landing pages. (Please don’t send 3 samples of only blog writing as we are searching for a talented writer who can produce a variety of content.)

Responsibilities:

  • Own management and execution of Mersive editorial calendar
  • Write and edit webpage copy while following SEO & user flow best practices, and defined brand guidelines & architecture
  • Write and edit various types of product and category specific B2B resources, such as blog posts, white-papers, guides, press releases and other similar resources
  • Develop social media posts, copy for email drip campaigns, newsletters and on-off emails
  • Research and execute awards submissions
  • Distribute press releases to press list
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of all aspects of company products, including technical and performance specifications, to all copy
  • Understand and apply audience insights, messaging and competitive information to help shape content strategies
  • Ensure Mersive’s standards for quality and brand alignment are met on all projects
  • Work cross-functionally with other internal stakeholders, executives, customers, and partners to write compelling content and complete other value-add initiatives that arise
  • In conjunction with Director of Digital Marketing and Creative Director, act as a guardian to the Mersive brand and messaging architecture

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, or another related field of study preferred
  • Minimum 3+ years B2B marketing copywriting experience (with a growth-oriented technology company is a plus)
  • High integrity and intellectual honesty
  • Ability to make technical concepts clear and easy to understand
  • Ability to motivate people and hold them accountable
  • Self-educates by reading, attending webinars and other trainings to keep up with latest trends
  • Ability to balance and execute multiple projects simultaneously
  • High self-awareness and respect for others
  • Self-directed in ambiguous situations
  • Collaborative and team-oriented
  • High comfort with data and logic
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong work ethic / excellent time-management skills
  • Organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Must pass a thorough security background check
