Responsibilities

  • Lead a team to design and program long-form and short-form video content designing approaches to maximize video consumption, engagement, retention, and a la carte class revenue
  • Develop strategies and seize opportunities to create crave- and binge-worthy content for our users ranging from deep instructional content to edutainment
  • Create new, compelling short and long-form content/programming formats and drive creative insights and strategy that lead to impactful content ideas
  • Oversee projects from pitch to production, and ensure program is consistent with best practices across all screens and executed flawlessly
  • Collaborate with editors, writers, video producers and directors to execute the content vision
  • Support marketing and eCommerce to conceptualize and develop creative assets that support content consumption and engagement
  • Develop talent management strategies and look for opportunities to develop and leverage our talent pool
  • Analyze consumption data and utilize insights to inform future programming

Basic Qualifications
● A record of innovative and bold content development and/or programming strategy at a digital media company, agency, network, or SVOD provider with significant focus on digital/linear content ideation, presentation, and programming development of branded-content
● Minimum 8 years' experience acquiring and developing video talent and content
● A knowledge of or passion for craft and DIY categories and an understanding of how to create best-in-class how-to content
● Success working in highly collaborative creative environments
● A record of elevating and developing colleagues and direct reports
● Strong managerial and planning skills to build and maintain internal procedures and workflows.
● Strong conceptual, strategic and critical thinker who possesses an understanding of the competitive marketplace
● Capable of understanding, interpreting and communicating clear business objectives, strategic goals and insights and turn them into innovative, entertaining and effective creative ideas
● Well versed in all areas of pre and post production, budgets, talent, development, execution & edit review
