Job Summary:

The RFP Writer is a sales team overlay position that identifies, qualifies and managers the development of responses to Requests for Proposals/Quotations (RFPs/FRQs). This position will leverage previously written responses, response templates, existing company materials, business partners and several departments within Granicus to complete all bid responses. The RFP Writer must synthesize information about software and related services in order to develop written content that is both technically accurate and extraordinarily compelling

Essential Functions:

  • Developing responses to a high volume of Request for Proposals/Quotations (RFPs/RFQs) monthly
  • Manager, multiple stakeholders and numerous content elements (technical narrative, legal documents, pricing, past performance references, etc.) in a fast-paced, quickly-changing environment
  • Analyze RFP requirements to determine if solutions will stand out in a competitive viding situations
  • Respond to RFPs within self-imposed deadlines through the assessment of RFP requirements, utilization and coordination of resources, and task prioritization completing RFPs with minimal supervisor and assistance
  • Continually assess system and content to develop higher quality responses
  • Maintain and continuously update frequently used content repositories
  • Manage all aspects of Granicus bid announcement subscription services
  • Manage communications with all internal and external stakeholders proactively and professionally
  • Verify that the bid notification systems are catching all bid notifications related to the markets that Granicus is currently pursuing
  • Proactively monitor the expiration of bid subscriptions contracts
  • Work with Corporate Counsel to recommend (for or against) renewals
  • Track won/loss data, and create a monthly report of the accumulated data
  • Work with Sales leadership, Legal and Finance to improve our procurement vehicles and add new ones with the goal of increasing close ratios, reducing sales cycles and avoiding competitive bids.
  • Maintain existing procurement vehicles

Skills & Requirements

Security Requirement:  

Responsible for Granicus information security by appropriately preserving the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of Granicus information assets in accordance with the company's information security program.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a RFP/Sales Operations role 
  • Proven track record of managing and winning RFPs/RFQs for the state/local/federal government
  • Demonstrated expertise in all facets of proposal development lifecycle

Candidate Will Be Measured On:

  • Win rate on submitted proposals
  • Consistency in meeting and beating deadlines
  • Timeliness in identifying the qualifying new opportunities

1999 Broadway is located in-between Denver’s Downtown and Uptown neighborhoods. Granicus occupies the 36 and 37 floors of the building.
