Role Purpose
The Director of Programming for Craftsy's Performer and Lifestyle categories, will develop the strategic vision for a diverse and innovative slate of digital video content, often paired with eCommerce kits, and lead a small team toward creating best-in-class "edutainment" programming. This role is focused on developing content in performance verticals (including art, writing, music and acting), and lifestyle categories (including home and beauty) – and designed to engage Craftsy Unlimited subscribers. Working arm-in-arm with the VP/Programming and teams across the company, the Director of Programming is also a key driver of category-level integrations across NBCUniversal, and initiatives in collaboration with Craftsy’s Product, Marketing, PR and Business Development teams.
Responsibilities

  • Research, build and socialize an integrated and differentiated performance and lifestyle content strategies
  • Lead a cross-functional team to acquire, develop, produce, edit and merchandise vertical-specific content – to include class- and series-based content, and other content types included content tied to brand and network integration
  • Inspire and manage production and writing staff on each project
  • Develop a clear and thoughtful content testing strategy, evolving your perspective in response to data
  • Collaborate with eCommerce team to connect content and commerce initiatives at the earliest development stages
  • Share targeted content and category insights with colleagues across departments

Basic Qualifications
● Minimum 5 years direct programming and/or production experience acquiring and developing talent and content for appropriate verticals
