Principal Technical Writer


All other duties as assigned, plus…

Lead a small team to oversee the documentation for our fast growing company

This role is responsible for creating a platform that supports our: how-to guides, programming manuals, and API reference content for the different lines of business in BillGO

Lead, but also be hands on - Plan and write programming guides for new Billing features

Communicate effectively with stakeholders in cross-functional teams and GMs who lead those teams

Create new content to focus on the latest tech writing practices

Work with product managers, development managers, and subject matter experts to define the scope of documentation efforts planned for new features

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

We are seeking a self-motivated candidate with excellent verbal and written communication skills and in-depth knowledge of software development to work closely with subject matter experts on the Server Technologies team. This person will have strong knowledge and experience with B2B enterprise software. 

  • Demonstrate functional knowledge of Windows and Linux or UNIX
  • API documentation
  • Web based experience user guides
  • Demonstrate understanding of json, yaml, Swagger experience, java, .NET, REST, HTTP
  • Possess a degree, certificate, or relevant industry experience
  • Suggested majors include English, technical writing, communications, instructional design, software engineering, or computer science
  • Minimum of 8+ years of user assistance development or relevant experience
  • Team Leadership experience

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will have a small team, that team is expected to scale in 2022 and 2023.

Salary for this position ranges from $90k - $120k plus upside
