Role Purpose
Craftsy is looking for a Photo Retoucher to support our scaling Photography Team and complete the crucial work of retouching all production, marketing and ecommerce images. The ideal candidate is quick to take ownership, comfortable working in a complex, fast-paced and collaborative ecosystem. Excellent attention to detail and complete color accuracy for all images is necessary for success in this role. We expect to see previous Photoshop retouching experience with large quantities of images that require individual attention. A background organizing and maintaining various photographic formats within a digital asset management system is also recommended.
Responsibilities
- Proactively communicate with photography team members and occasionally external contributors
- Collaborate and support your fellow photo retouchers
- Retouching product images (ranging from hand knitted garments, yarn, fabric, quilts and cake tools)
- Retouching promotional and production assets
- Accurate color vision, healing, cloning, perspective modification, white balance
- Color adjustment in CameraRaw and Photoshop
- Accurately apply metadata to all images
- Organize and edit file formats, standardize file renaming
- Making image picks that meet photographic brand standards
- Create and adjust mock-ups using Photoshop or other Creative Cloud applications
- Retouching people and faces
- Aid in testing image developments for the DAM system
- Help locate images on the DAM for other team members
- Track all product pending retouching until images are completed
- Creating GIFs from still images
- Support special projects & miscellaneous studio tasks as necessary
Basic Qualifications
• Entry level position
• Ability to make physical product color and digital product color a perfect match
• Proficiency with the latest Adobe Photoshop, Camera Raw and Bridge
• Able to track time in a task management system
• Ability to balance multiple projects with great attention to detail on short notice
• Ensure timely delivery of all assets
• A dedicated enthusiastic attitude
