Instructional Design Specialist - Spanish

How you'll make an impact
In this role, you will primarily create, maintain and deliver live courses, on-demand learning and webinars to prospective and existing Spanish - language accounting partners and small business clients. It involves independently managing projects, developing and creating curriculum to help our partner and small business customers successfully implement and use Xero. Your work will surface on Xero Central and in live events. You will also liaise with various internal and external partners, vendors, and subject matter experts to ensure the highest quality of educational content.
What you'll do
Assist with assessment of training needs of various learners.
Write/translate to Spanish learning objectives, training content, knowledge checks, storyboards, scripts, and facilitation guides
Deliver live training sessions and webinars with an energetic and engaging style and in Spanish
Work closely with internal and external subject matter experts to design develop and deliver courses that support overall business goals and objectives for our Spanish-language market
Maintain quality and brand alignment of training content created within Xero style guidelines
Adapt courses created in other regions for Spanish-language US and Latin American market fit and share successful US content with other regions for adaptation to market fit
Attend regular product updates to understand new features & functionality and update Xero Central courses as needed
Review feedback from surveys, Xero Partner Advisory Council, cross functional teams, and other sources to continuously improve the Xero Central curriculum
Support Partners in content creation and delivery of Xero course materials, i.e. Train the Trainer initiatives for Spanish-language market
Update and maintain course materials to support new releases
Work with the US Education Director and Digital Education Specialists to ensure content is surfaced properly on learning platforms
Conduct periodic internal training events for sales and partner consulting staff
What you'll bring with you
Critical competencies
- Fluent in written and spoken Spanish (working knowledge of Spanish business/financial language is a plus)
- Timely course writing, editing, and creation
- Positive, friendly 'can do' attitude & Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work autonomously with project management and planning skills and to meet reasonable deadlines
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills

Experience
- 3+ years Instructional design and training delivery experience in a business environment
- Computer literacy and software knowledge, including Google Apps, Keynote, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience recording webinars, video, and audio for educational purposes
- Experience developing and delivering content to users with a variety of experience
- Experience in the accounting industry (i.e. CPE) or small business environment is a plus
- Accounting software knowledge, preferably SaaS, a plus
