At SparkED, the education program by Alteryx, our mission is to empower learners of all skill levels – across all disciplines – to develop the skills needed to question, understand, and solve with data.

We are looking for a talented individual with learning content development experience in the global academic community. In addition, the ideal individual will have previous analytical experience working with relational databases, business intelligence platforms, and/or predictive modeling software. Additionally, they will have significant experience designing and developing content for learners of all ages. Experience training others on the concepts and usage of analytic process including predictive analytics is a significant plus.

Responsibilities:

Curriculum Design

  • Design innovative, online learning materials mapped to data analytics knowledge and skill standards. The materials include: active learning activities, problem solving games, and classroom learning resources for use by academic institutions, students, and self-directed learners of all ages

  • Design and develop step-by-step activities and/or lab instructions

  • Assist with designing hackathons and other student competitions

Curriculum Development

  • Primarily develop online learning materials; ILT materials as needed

  • Assist with the development of faculty teaching resources

  • Create and maintain education materials for the academic and workforce development community (K-20W)

  • Develop and implement courseware guidelines using established Alteryx and appropriate academic standards

  • Generate business requirements and SOWs for new courses

Curriculum Management

  • Develop data, data analytics and Alteryx product knowledge expertise to support new learning product development, roll outs, revisions, and releases
  • Deliver and maintain learning content for the academic community
  • Experience with content release management

Curriculum Deployment

  • Use company established delivery mechanism for release of content

  • Provision and deploy courses to learning management systems

  • Build and maintain content release notes

Teacher/Faculty Training (as needed)

  • Coordinate and deliver live and online train-the-trainer sessions worldwide

  • Present lectures at high schools, colleges, and universities

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Information Management Systems, Business analytics, Instructional Design, or equivalent work experience

  • Working knowledge of Data Analytics, Data Science and the data analytics continuum

  • 5+ years of experience in designing developing learning content in the academic environment, preferably in data analytics/data science

  • Experience enterprise learning management systems a plus

  • Well-versed in multimedia technology

  • Gamification approach to development would be a benefit

  • Proclivity for project management

  • Technical writing experience

  • Solid experience leading training in both in classroom and online settings is required

  • Aptitude to learn and develop proficiency in all areas of Alteryx Designer

  • Works well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced product development lifecycle

  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively

  • Able to communicate effectively both up and down the organization

  • Able to travel 10% of the year
