Position Summary:
Prove is looking for a talented writer to join our rapidly growing Marketing team! This special person is a creative and clever storyteller who can break down complex concepts into digestible morsels, and grab the limited attention of today’s reader. We’re looking for someone who can be our “in-house reporter” - extracting the most interesting headlines for our audience - so a background in consumer journalism is a bonus (but not required). While your primary role will be to write branded communications across web, digital, social, blog, and print, you will also be responsible for reviewing and editing Prove materials for brand consistency, clarity and grammar, so a masterful command of the English language is a must.
What You Are Accountable For:
- Write engaging, clear, and conversational copy that cuts through the clutter and grabs the attention of our audience (enterprise customers)
- Develop copy for everything from social posts and emails to blog posts and whitepapers
- Review Prove materials for brand consistency, clarity, and grammar
- Partner with our Director of Marketing to test and optimize copy across owned, earned, and paid initiatives
- Partner with our Customer Success team to uncover exciting customer stories and translate them into case studies, blog posts, and other assets
- Brainstorm ideas about new forms of content such as quizzes, guides, infographics, animations, and videos
- Collaborate closely with content and design peers as well as the CEO and other executives
- Pitch in with other Marketing team initiatives such as events and campaigns
What We Require:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, journalism, communications, or a related field
- 3-5 years’ experience as writer (preferably for a technology company)
- Masterful command of the English language
- Ability to distill complex technical concepts into graspable and interesting copy
- Excellent time management and project management skills
Bonus Points:
- If you’ve written or edited for a consumer publication such as Buzzfeed, Business Insider, or Fast Company
- If you have an understanding of search engine optimization and customer lifecycle marketing
