- Peaksware/TrainingPeaks employees are working remotely from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We will work with anyone hired during this period to accommodate remote on-boarding to the best of our ability. Reporting to our content director, the content editor will play a vital role in this continuing expansion. On a daily level, they will manage, curate and edit training, racing and nutrition content from our TrainingPeaks coaches and partners for our athlete blog, write weekly and monthly newsletters, and help track content metrics.
What will I do?
- Source content written by qualified endurance coaches to be included in the TrainingPeaks athlete blog and across TrainingPeaks.com
- Edit article content for quality, accuracy, and voice and tone
- Write weekly and monthly newsletter content
- Track article metrics in Google Analytics
- Repurpose and write new article content as needed
- Assist content director and content strategist with content planning and marketing campaign strategy
- Perform other duties as assigned
The right candidate will have a firm grasp of AP Style, knowledge of the endurance training space and an understanding of how to create and curate content that attracts potential users.
If you have a passion for good storytelling that educates and motivates, a rock-solid grasp of grammar, and a love of deadlines (both real and imagined)—then this is the job for you.
Requirements
- Management and maintenance: You excel in managing a team of contributors/writers and managing a content calendar; you enjoy reviving old content to make it polished and fresh again
- Wordpress: Proficiency with Wordpress (or another similar CMS), some relevant HTML and CSS experience is a plus
- Analytics: Understanding of Google Analytics (or similar); you know how to use data to plan and strategize for your next move
- SEO: Familiarity with SEO best-practices and how to use them to your advantage
- Humble, hungry, smart: You strive to bring your best to work, thrive in highly collaborative team environments, and always aim to be a better version of who you were yesterday
Brownie Points:
- Experience as endurance athlete or coach
- Experience using TrainingPeaks products and services including TrainingPeaks Coach and Athlete Edition, Best Bike Split, and WKO4
