The Webroot Product team is looking for a dynamic, self-starting, and experienced Content Development Specialist to manage, curate, and create compelling and timely content for our fast growing Security Awareness Training service.

As the Content Development Specialist, Security Awareness, you will be responsible for delivering engaging content suitable for our service users as well as managing and curating an expanding catalogue of content. Webroot has recently won a Brandon Hall Group® award (the first in the industry to do so) for its Security Awareness Training and you will work closely with our Engineering, Product, Marketing and Threat Research teams to deliver high quality training material. You will be directly responsible for new content releases and helping define a unified training experience for our customers.

You possess a blend of creative and technical savvy, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You will be knowledgeable and experienced in training content and digital marketing, and be able to quickly ramp up knowledge on the Next Generation Cyber Security market.

Reporting to the Product Director, Networks, this role will redefine your previous experience with responsibility, and an opportunity for the right candidate to progress into managing other team members/gain greater responsibility in the long term.

Note – this role requires travel to Webroot offices, customer and third-party sites in North America, Europe, and Asia (10-15%).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own, manage, create and maintain, the Webroot SAT Content library ensuring it contains the most desired and compelling courses.
  • Create multi-media training assets (including videos, audio, quizzes, demonstrations) from which trainees can self-teach; videos may be in the form of a software demonstration with voice narration or voice-over PowerPoint.
  • Research, analyze, recommend, and develop new relevant courses that meets market and customer needs to grow the Webroot SAT content library.
  • Partner with external vendors on selection and negotiation of desired courses and manage onboarding of new courses into the Webroot SAT content library.
  • Engage with Internal teams (Threat, Engineering, Sales Engineers, Training etc) to publish content to enrich the Webroot SAT content library on a continuous basis
  • Measure the success of published training content from multiple perspectives, and provide regular metrics/updates to leadership.
  • Use data, research and customer feedback to expand the range of training assets, ensuring high customer satisfaction and learning effectiveness
  • Using data driven decisions to prioritize, enable, and deliver.
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams to deliver created content into the service platform.
  • Be visible and social – the role requires the ability to drive cross-team collaboration and building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Make tough prioritization choices and find creative solutions to hard problems.
  • Represent Webroot as a domain and product expert. Assist with internal and external communication
  • Contribute to sales and marketing collateral.
  • Interface directly with customers and the Webroot support team on customer escalations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong written and oral English language communication skills
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering technical training or in development of engaging digital instructional content.
  • Experience of version control and asset tracking.
  • Experience of Learning Management Systems and authoring tools
  • A minimum 2 years of experience in an engineering software environment or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers
  • Ability to work independently, as well as with others in a diverse team environment
  • Able to travel/operate in Webroot office locations globally
  • Customer First/Customer Excellence attitude

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience within a Cybersecurity business or associated Channel (Vendor, Distributor, MSP)
  • Experience with creation of high-quality multi-media assets, e.g. video and audio recording,
  • Experience of content asset translation into non-English languages.
  • Passion and drive for personal technical excellence and delivering projects in a timely and efficient manner
