Position Description
The Content Developer is responsible for developing marketing content and managing the implementation of the marketing content strategy. This includes content supporting all of the stages in the customer purchase process and sales enablement tools for the sales team, as well as content directed at internal stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to develop the messaging framework, create content to be used in digital and traditional marketing, and then manage the deployment of the final deliverables. The Content Developer will work with multiple stakeholders and Subject Manager Experts to learn about our colocation and cloud offerings, then manage delivery of content that results in customer engagement, leads, and sales. This is a great opportunity for copywriters who want to learn about our business and our customers’ needs then develop content that articulates our value and has a direct impact on our success.
Responsibilities
Create and/or manage creation of a range of engaging content to support our data center colocation and cloud business, including but not limited to: web content, email marketing, social media, customer success stories, blog posts, sales presentations, video scripts, battle cards and press releases.
Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Marketing in developing content strategy and an editorial plan that addresses all of the stages in the customer purchase process and ensures alignment with Strategic Marketing objectives (short- and long-term).
Collaborate with and interview Subject Matter Experts and stakeholders to extract the most relevant information and insights, then create content supporting our data center colocation and cloud business.
Edit, proofread, and make improvements to content, as appropriate.
Use content management systems to track and analyze internal downloads, website traffic, and user engagement metrics.
Manage content publishing and distribution to internal teams and external platforms.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or Marketing -- or relevant and equivalent experience
Proven work experience as a Content Developer or Copywriter. Must provide writing samples.
Understanding of content categorization and structure, content development, distribution, and measurement.
Excellent written communication, and online and offline research skills.
Ability to write, edit, and proofread persuasive copy about technical subject matter in a way that is understandable to non-technical readers..
Good organizational and time-management skills.
You must be an effective internal partner with a demonstrated ability to collaborate well with many cross-functional teams, including: marketing, product management, sales, and sales support.
High attention to detail.
Hands on experience with Microsoft Office.
