Position Summary:

The Academy Content Specialist owns the creation and continuous improvement of our training and support documentation within the Pax8 Academy team. They perform service request intake from clients and triage of internal change requests from coaches and assign, schedule and dispatch coaches. They translate business and technical details into plain English in written content, videos, and diagrammatic representations for multiple personas.

Essential Responsibilities:

Create and publish internal and client-facing documentation, including reference guides, release notes, videos, and other support documentation relating to the Pax8 Academy

  • Manage recurring interviews and committees with internal subject matter experts, to gather requirements and build content
  • Follow Triage/Dispatch process as tickets arrive through email, manual entry, or direct client input
  • Ensure appropriate number of content changes are completed per key performance indicators
  • Analyze and edit preexisting documentation to maintain continuity of content style

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • At least one (1) to three (3) years of experience in a technical writer or written content development role
  • Proven experience writing and editing content - ideally in the context of technical support, training documentation, or educational documents
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate information and ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent documentation skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Ability to multi-task and be a self-starter
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
  • Ability to develop and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
  • Ability to operate effectively, even when things are not certain, or the way forward is not clear
  • Ability to make sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems
  • Ability to secure and deploy resources effectively and efficiently

Required Education & Certifications:

  • B.A./B.S. in related field or equivalent work experience

Compensation:

  • Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $64,000 or more depending on experience

*Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Denver Metro area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
