The Consulting Engineer designs and manages technology solutions for clients, focusing on IT infrastructure, including cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. Responsibilities include planning, implementing, and troubleshooting multiple systems and ensuring security best practices.
ProArch is seeking a Consulting Engineer, and you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing
comprehensive technology solutions for our diverse clientele. You will leverage your technical expertise to optimize
customer environments, ensuring seamless integration of enterprise-level infrastructures, whether on-premises, hybrid,
or cloud-based.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning, migration, implementation, and management of Windows Server environments including Active Directory,
- DNS, DHCP, File Services\DFS, IIS, and Group Policy Objects\Hardening
- Planning, implementation, and management of Microsoft Hyper-V and/or VMware vSphere environments
- Planning, implementation, and management of Microsoft Azure Infrastructure as a Services (laaS), Platform as a Service
- (PaaS) and Virtual Networking solutions
- Planning, and implement of Microsoft Office 365 E-mail, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Teams
- Planning and implement of end-user virtual solutions including Remote Desktop Services (RDS), AVD, and VMware
- Horizon View
- Implementation and management of backup technologies that are image and file based. Disaster Recovery and
- replication technologies such as Veeam
- Enterprise, VMware Site Recovery Manager, or Azure Site Recovery,
- Implementation and administration of Microsoft Enterprise Management Tools such as Intune
- Implementation and administration of Enterprise Storage include DELL/EMC, HP, Microsoft, and VMware Software
- Defined Storage.
Requirements:
- Performing strategic technology assessments including data gathering, analysis, and recommendations in an
- Energy setting
- Aligning organization technology goals with business requirements
- Troubleshooting network and system issues
- Security best practices system hardening
- Experience in Incident Response
- Collaborating with clients in different vertical markets
- Interfacing with other 3rd party vendors, i.e. hardware, software, and service providers
- Working individually and as part of a team
- Interfacing with clients remotely, over the phone, and on-site
- Developing product and solution recommendations for deliverables and presales opportunities
- Budgeting and time estimation
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills with first time engagements - Projects, Industrial Control Systems, or problems tend to be unique, so critical thinking skills and the ability to communicate across multiple disciplines are essential.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience in IT consulting or related roles.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Azure, VMware, and networking technologies.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Cisco, VMWare) are highly desired.
- Mandatory Skills:
- · Need to be willing to travel (One week in a month and need to be flexible based on customer need)
- Need to be able to be creative in solutioning, good troubleshooting capabilities, able to be consultative with clients with excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to present findings to a client .
