 HomeAdvisor is looking for a Communications Coordinator who has a passion for Public Relations and the ever-evolving media landscape, as well as someone who is interested in growing with the Corporate Communications team at HomeAdvisor. The ideal candidate must be extremely organized, have an attention to detail and strong project management skills. This role will be a support position for the Corporate Communications team and the candidate must be able to take direction as well as work effectively in a collaborative environment.   

 Some of the areas where you'll get a lot of experience:

  • Helping with the planning and execution of on-site and off-site events.
  • Creating/preparing presentation materials.
  • Working across multiple teams to complete projects.
  • Researching publications and pulling briefing documents for media interviews.
  • Creating/managing content across a variety of publicity campaigns.
  • Prepping press materials, like news releases, press kits, media recaps and awards.

 Experience and Skills:

  • A passion for communications - we're looking for someone who really wants to learn and grow into a strong communications professional.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, which encompasses solid grammar skills and a proficiency in AP style.
  • Someone who excels in project management. This person should have the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects, to keep the information organized, and to learn on the fly to keep up with the lightning speed of our environment.
  • Someone who is extremely organized and timeline focused. Someone who can always meet deadlines.
  • A strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate should take pride in dotting the I’s and crossing the T’s on all their projects, from writing press materials to formatting PowerPoints.
  • A go-getter mentality, with a professional, positive, energetic attitude and a desire to go above and beyond given project parameters.
  • BA/BS degree required with a preference for graduates of PR, Journalism, and/or Communications programs. 
  • The ability to work in a multitude of computer programs, especially Microsoft Office and WordPress.
