We are looking for a startup CEO to help build the company You: Flourish. It is a public benefit corporation (PBC) that is designing a smartphone application and wellness platform that is focused on providing support, well-being, and safety to our LGBTQ+ community. The app will include a resource directory that has been expertly vetted using a proprietary system, a peer support community offering mutual aid, and a wellness hub that allows individuals to track daily wellness practices and engage in content designed by and for LGBTQ+ individuals

The position is based in the Denver, CO area.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Provide servant leadership and passion about leading and collaborating with your people and community partners to operate a welcoming and inclusive community. Lead the organization through its start-up phase to operate a sustainable, stakeholder- and mission-driven business.
- Bring your strategic, visionary experience, and relationship-building skills to provide leadership to the organization to achieve its long-term and short-term strategies and goals through other people.
- Utilize your broad and deep network of relationships and connections to masterfully build meaningful relationships throughout the nation.
- Create an outstanding reputation and reach for You: Flourish and obtain funding for the organization.
- Create the conditions for your team to expand their thinking, challenge convention, grow as people, and experience authentic connection with others.
- Lead the development of the company's short- and long-term strategy.
- Manage revenue, expenses, and external financing to maintain the consistent growth of the business.
- Create, implement, and model the company's vision and mission.
- Build and lead the senior executive team including the development of recruitment and retention strategies.
- Be the face of the organization at fundraising and public events
- Be a chief advocate of the product users’ interests.
- Act as a key liaison with employees, investors, key corporate partners, and the board of directors.
- Lead the financing roadshow to ensure obtainment of funding in the start-up phase.
As the CEO, your background must include:
- Extensive business experience, preferably at the C-Level in a startup environment. (required)
- Experience fundraising at various stages. (required)
- Experience working on impact investing programs or initiatives. (required)
- Experience raising start-up capital from investors in order to meet projected financial costs (required)
- Excellent conflict resolution skills, an understanding of people and their motivations, and the ability to articulate and work through differences that may arise.
- Ability to manage projects/people and drive them to create positive outcomes.
- Extreme attention to detail, highly focused, stellar organization skills, and a passion for helping others.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills with extensive presentation experience.
- Great attitude and understanding of the role and the company’s mission and values.
- Ability to manage a growing team on a daily basis and bring motivation and accountability at all levels while fostering a climate of innovation and excellence.
- Experience building relevant leadership structures and evaluating the work of other executive leaders.
- A belief that love and business can go together.
- A love of connecting in a deep way; you are not afraid to be vulnerable and challenge others.
- Experience thoughtfully and consciously allocating capital to fund a company's priorities.
What is in it for you?
This is an amazing opportunity to help grow a hard-working start-up and take it to the next level. The base salary is $120,000 to $130,000 with stock options. The benefits include health, dental, vision, EAP, life, PTO, remote work, and professional development. Your compensation will be reviewed after 6 months.
