The Opportunity:

The Business Systems Analyst II will identify the tasks and techniques used to work as a liaison between technology and business side stakeholders with the goal of helping deliver new and enhanced processes, products, and services on time and within budget.

Day in the Life:

  • Create and maintain the User Stories/Requirements for a project, map the user stories to features, define the acceptance criteria, and partner with the product owner for user story traceability, refinement, and epic & feature development.

  • Partner with the Product Owner for user story refinement and backlog prioritization. 

  • Adhere to Agile principles and philosophies (Scrum or Kanban, as applicable) in fulfillment of the role.

  • Encourages cross functional team collaboration and creates an environment of open and honest communication as a facilitator and active contributor in team meetings and workshops in order to gather and identify business needs.

  • Translates technical jargon between the Product Owner, QA analysts, developers and the stakeholders so that all partners are working collaboratively towards a common goal.

  • Utilizes critical/analytical thinking skills to document business processes, functional specifications, non-functional specifications, and technical specifications.

  • Ensure compliance with all the audit requirements of the company.

  • Conducts independent research and analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support the product owner and stakeholders in the decision-making process.

  • Create simple SQL queries and help map the data elements as needed.

  • Create data maps identify data sources and data flows in the ETL environment. 

  • Build and maintain repository of project artifacts using SharePoint or Jira and other document management solutions.

  • Lead department initiatives with limited supervision.

  • Provide mentoring and training to junior team members.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Additional certifications in Agile, Scrum, or DevOps strongly preferred. 

  • 3-5 years of experience required.

  • Experience working in Azure Development Ops (ADO).

  • 3+ years’ SQL querying skills helpful.

  • 1+ years’ experience in modeling / mapping business processes.

  • 1+ years’ experience planning, facilitate UAT for projects and enhancements.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate meetings, conduct presentations utilizing various audio/visual aids, negotiate and build consensus with limited supervision.

  • The ability to perform detailed data mapping and data modeling, as well as create network topology diagrams, and process flow diagrams.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of APIs.

  • Experience with software development processes and SDLC practices.

Pay Equity

$67,700.00 - $86,300.00

Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
