Business Development Representative
THE ROLE
As a Business Development Representative (BDR) on our Automotive Sales team, you’ll be responsible for identifying and engaging new dealership partners across our geographical markets. You’ll perform outbound activities including calls and written messages intended to quickly build relationships that create qualified sales opportunities for our Sales Executives.
This role requires grit, resilience, and a true hunter mindset. You’ll need to be persuasive, organized, and motivated to make an impact on a dynamic, evolving business.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Bring energy, curiosity, and creative problem-solving to help us scale dealer acquisition.
- Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting to auto dealerships across assigned territories.
- Generate qualified leads and book meetings for our Sales Executives, ensuring that clients show up for the appointment.
- Research and understand dealership operations, key decision-makers, and the competitive landscape.
- Develop and test outreach strategies to optimize conversion rates.
- Track outreach activity, lead status, and notes in Salesforce.
- Provide ideas and constructive feedback to refine target lists, messaging, and engagement strategies.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
- 3-5 years of experience in outbound sales, lead generation, or business development (SaaS, automotive, or insurance experience is a plus).
- The ability to get to the decision maker at all levels of auto dealerships.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Comfortable talking to dealership GMs, F&I managers, and owners.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action and learning.
- Resilient and self-motivated. You thrive in ambiguity and love the challenge of building something new.
- Ability to adapt quickly and pivot in a startup environment.
- Team player who takes feedback well and collaborates to win.
- Experience with Salesforce.
