Your opportunity

As an Associate Data Workforce Manager (ML/AI), you will be responsible for overseeing the operational side of the data team – managing projects, planning resources, and improving processes. Your primary focus will be on ShelfView data capture projects, while also contributing to data collection and annotation initiatives that support other Scandit products.

You will work closely with product managers, data engineers, and the quality assurance team to ensure efficient project execution and on-time delivery.

This role connects people, data, and processes – requiring project and team management skills, as well as analytical approach to problem-solving, often under time pressure.

  • Hands-on involvement in the day-to-day management of ongoing data projects
  • Planning and prioritizing project tasks
  • Sourcing and onboarding freelancers for project-based tasks
  • Creating and updating internal documentation and guidelines for freelancers
  • Monitoring quality indicators and identifying areas for optimization
  • Collaborating closely with data engineers and product managers to clarify project requirements
  • Improving and automating operational processes

Who we look for

We are looking for someone with experience in project and/or team management, who has an analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with technical stakeholders. You should feel comfortable working on both strategic planning and daily team operations.

  • University degree (technical, analytical, or management degrees are preferred but not mandatory)
  • Experience in project and/or team management (preferably in data, operations, or analytics)
  • Analytical approach to problem-solving and process optimization
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to collaborate with technical teams (e.g. data engineers, analysts)
  • Excellent English communication skills (B2 level or higher)

Nice to have:

  • Experience in ML data collection and/or annotation projects
  • Experience in data quality assurance
