The Role

We’re growing again and need an Accounting Manager to join our team!

A2Z Sync is a disruptor in the automotive industry—transforming the sales process into a transparent experience for customers and providing the tools necessary for dealers to transact.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager with a strong background in both public accounting and the software industry. As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee the accounting department, prepare financial reports, establish accounting policies, and ensure compliance with regulations. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will have daily interaction with Department Leaders to inform key strategic and operating decisions.

This is not a remote position.  Candidates must live in the Greater Denver area. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including month and year-end close, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, treasury, budgeting, and cash forecasting.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce timely and accurate financial reports and statements.
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles to ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulations.
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits, providing recommendations for improvements.
  • Assign projects and direct staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency in accounting processes.
  • Support the CFO and Department Leaders in preparation of annual operating plan, monthly forecasting, and management reporting.
  • Streamline systems and processes to drive efficiencies and automation within the financial reporting lifecycle.
  • Provide strategic insights to the leadership team on financial performance, cash flow management, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish efficient finance and accounting processes.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; CPA or MBA preferred.
  • 6+ years of professional experience, with 3 years in Big Four public accounting and 3 years in the software industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, revenue recognition, and cash flow analysis.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and presentation skills.
  • Passionate about efficiency and process improvements.
  • Self-starter capable of working in fast-paced environments.

The ideal candidate will have a blend of public accounting experience from a Big Four firm and industry experience in the software sector. This combination will allow the Accounting Manager to provide strategic guidance while also ensuring operational excellence in the accounting department.
