Year One at Wayin

I can't believe it has been one year already!  Read about my experiences during my first year at Wayin in Denver, Colorado:

I came to Colorado and Wayin a recent college grad with wide eyes and a relatively opaque understanding of what I was going to be doing, let alone what Wayin was going to be like.  "Yeah, just find something downtown and come work at our hot startup", Hugh said.  Denver to me meant  mountains, fresh air, and an opportunity. 

Here I am, one year, one month, and 24 days later.  I am the youngest employee at Wayin, just a few days younger than Nelson, but I think that lends itself to a different perspective of Wayin's culture and eclectic team.  Probably one of the things I first realized at Wayin is that all job titles tend to bleed together in a fast-paced, small startup.  Or perhaps I should say that all individual roles rely very heavily upon each other for support in completing client demands, planning the items for release on the product roadmap, or just technical support on a call.   People who say that working at a startup gives you total immersion into innumerable fields are right, and Wayin is no exception to this.  The biggest take away of my opportunity here has been that I have had the opportunity here to really delve into whatever area of the company interests me.
