SendGrid recently announced the opening of its new, nearly 20,000 square foot, Boulder headquarters. Passing the 200-employee count in March, SendGrid is opening the doors of its new office space as it looks to double its employee headcount by the end of the year.

Having established a connection with Boulder from its experience at TechStars in 2009, the SendGrid team fell in love with the Colorado tech ecosystem and set up shop in Boulder.

A leader in delivering customer engagement and application generated email, CEO Jim Franklin described their operations in 2012, “we are making it easier for enterprises to manage their communication layer between their applications and customers”.

SendGrid currently has employees all around the globe but its looking to grow its operations in Boulder by actively hiring across all levels, from engineers to customer support.

The new Boulder headquarters at 1401 Walnut Street comes just two years after their offices opened in Denver in October 2012. SendGrid’s constant opening of offices is a reflection of their rapid growth. The team has grown to send over 100 billion emails per year and has over $27 million in funding to date.
