Spring has officially arrived in the Rocky Mountains, but the vibrant wildflowers and prickly evergreen pines aren’t the only things experiencing skyrocketing growth. Colorado’s tech scene just so happens to be blooming — and fresh talent is bringing their company visions to life.

In fact, after five startups raised a staggering $154 million in funding in January 2022 alone, the Centennial State’s tech industry shows no signs of slowing down. That’s why Built In Colorado dug a little deeper into three companies standing out this month to showcase who they are, what’s got people paying attention and all the ways they’re keeping internal teams supported despite the jam-packed schedules.

Take a look at supply chain platform Vorto, for instance. The company is currently looking to fill more than 20 open roles to tackle client work and new business head on, all while fostering an uplifting team culture.

Meanwhile, employees at companies like Crusoe Energy Systems and Enquire can’t stop buzzing about the workplace benefits and tech stacks that help them contribute to making a real difference in the world every day.

Ready to grow into a new opportunity? All three organizations just so happen to be hiring.

What they do: Vorto has created an autonomous supply chain platform that uses artificial intelligence and automation to enable companies to put procurement, payment and logistics on autopilot. The company aims to make businesses more economically and environmentally sustainable through digital transformation.

Eye-catching company culture: “The standout thing about Vorto’s culture is the genuine passion and drive that people here bring,” Software Engineer Christian McErlean previously told Built In. “These traits serve as a universal language and enable everyone to come together and form a cohesive team across background, identity and beliefs in a way I haven’t experienced before. A happy hour here is an earnest celebration of the team’s accomplishments and the individuals who made it happen instead of just a half-hearted team-building event.”

Fully loaded tech stack: Future engineering new hires will find various languages, such as Golang and SQL, as well as a few frameworks and databases, including TensorFlow and PostgreSQL.

What they do: Crusoe Energy Systems repurposes otherwise wasted energy to fuel the growing demand for computational power in the expanding digital economy. Their mission: eliminate flaring and emissions in the oil field — while also powering AI, cryptocurrency mining and computation-intensive research.

Essential employee perks: Noteworthy benefits like paid-for course subscriptions, job training, tuition reimbursement and mentorship programs are available to every employee to encourage continuous learning in the consistently evolving energy space. The company also offers unlimited PTO for those essential periods of recharging.

Now hiring: Craving a career change? Crusoe currently has open roles for a senior business development analyst, a corporate financial analyst, a systems administrator, a senior electrical engineer/architect and more.

What they do: Enquire provides software — including its CRM, marketing automation and contact center solutions — for senior living communities, post-acute healthcare facilities and healthcare organizations.

Passion-fueled employee buzz: “The best part of being in this role is that you control your business,” Director of Sales Tess Kurtenbach previously told Built In. “My team and I work closely together to make the process seamless and also ensure that we are addressing the needs of our customers. Whether it’s sales, account management, implementation or development, we communicate what’s the best move forward plan for our customers and how to make sure they are set up for success. I love being able to walk up to different areas of the office and connect with those teams.”

Embracing workplace diversity: Diversity, equity and inclusion is an important piece of Enquire’s culture. That’s why the company offers unconscious bias training for all employees and has hiring practices in place to guarantee that all potential candidates are interviewed and considered equally. Additional benefits? Promotions from within, wellness programs and performance bonuses are also available.
