Hey, creatives: These 5 startups want you on their team

While working at a tech company always requires that employees get creative when solving challenges, some jobs demand more creativity than others.

If you're looking for a role that'll get your creative juices flowing, we've rounded up five Colorado startup jobs certain to do just that.

Role: Creative Director

What you’d do: Ensure the creative integrity of Galvanize’s brand across product and marketing. The job involves working with multiple media, from digital and print to broadcast and out-of-home advertising.

Who they’re looking for: Someone with solid Creative Suite skills, at least seven years of experience and a passionate, inspiring and humble leader.

Why you should apply: Galvanize has grown rapidly in the last few years, expanding across the U.S. They’re changing the game for tech communities, and this gig would put you on the front lines of communicating their value to prospective students and members.

Role: Assistant Buyer

What you’d do: Work with other buyers to manage Bluprint’s quilting and sewing product inventory, build relationships with suppliers and develop merchandise and product marketing strategies.

Who they’re looking for: You should have at least a couple of years of experience in buying or merchandising, strong writing skills and a knack for crunching numbers.

Why you should apply: As a leading craft and hobby education company, Bluprint’s whole business relies on the value of creativity. Their products help customers make beautiful items, so you’d play a key role in enriching people’s hobbies and livelihoods.

Role: Account Executive

What you’d do: Manage client relationships and accounts by writing briefs, collaborating with Motive’s creative teams and leading different initiatives across media.

Who they’re looking for: Someone with at least four years of creative project management experience, strong leadership skills and an understanding of agency life.

Why you should apply: More than an agency, Motive positions itself as a “creative studio.” The company spearheads integrated campaigns like Pepsi’s Super Bowl Halftime Show sponsorship, and their carefully-cultivated team is packed with experienced, creative talent.

Role: Social Media & Community Manager

What you’d do: Manage the company’s social media and community marketing efforts across multiple platforms, including Instagram and Snapchat, focusing on building a community among Havenly’s customers and followers.

Why you should apply: Havenly’s designers work with customers to create unique, custom interior designs for homes and offices — a sweet spot for social media. Plus, employees get design services as a perk.

Role: Director of Creative Technology

What you’d do: Be responsible for building and leading a lean, agile team of technologists who focus on experiences and are able to partner well with the EffectiveUI’s UX and UI designers.
