The husband and wife who co-founded Kindara aren't the only ones invested in fertility tracking.

The Boulder startup has so far raised over $1.25 million from investors on the strength of its new product Wink, a smart thermometer that uses Bluetooth technology to integrate with the Kindara app. What's more, consumers are excited for Wink to the tune of $50,000 in presales.

In the wake of Wink, Kindara has received funding from Vast Ventures, SOS Ventures, Drummond Road Capital, and various angels.

Previously, Kindara's main offer was an iPhone and Android app that tracks women's fertility cycles to aid them in either avoiding or pursuing pregnancy. But, users had to enter their BBT (basal body temperature) readings themselves. Now, Wink, a stylish little piece of hardware, can do that for them. Wink is on track to ship in spring 2015.

“In designing Wink, we wanted to give you a product and an experience to help you feel in charge and on top of your reproductive health,” said William Sacks, who co-founded Kindara with Kati Bicknell and acts as CEO. “Wink is not only the most beautiful and most comfortable oral fertility thermometer available; it is also the fastest reading, most accurate, the only one that syncs with a proven fertility tracking app, and doesn’t beep."

Kindara said that, to date, it has helped over 500,000 women remain pregnancy-free and over 35,000 conceive. Clearly, consumers are prepared for technology that will let them lead more quantified lives, and investors are on board.
