Simplicity abroad: Boulder firm Simple Energy expands into Europe

Simple Energy, a Boulder-based SaaS firm, is bringing its scientific, data-driven, and fun approach to the European energy market. As a sponsor and significant attraction of Eurpoean Utility Week, Simple Energy finds itself in a prime position to expand internationally and aid in the EU's efforts to reduce energy consumption by 20% by 2020.

Founded in 2010, Simple Energy has had its eyes on the international scene for some time. In the summer of 2014, in the wake of a six-million-dollar investment round, it established a partnership with Milton Hydro in Canada. The company has embraced gamification to make responsible energy consumption more fun, and the world has taken notice.
