The Role

PainTheory is hiring a Full-stack Software Engineer to build out our patient-facing intake and web app experience as well as expand and enhance our web presence to serve and delight our customers. As the first full-time developer on the team, you will be responsible for all technical decisions related to our current website and future web app and will work to bring a scalable, delightful patient user experience to life. Our business is reliant on creating remarkable front-end patient experiences. While you will be creating our first web app back-end architecture, the back-end technical requirements will likely be simpler than the front-end user interface components. We are looking for someone who LOVES to create beautiful consumer-grade user experiences.

Seeking Denver-based candidates

 

Qualifications

  • 2+ years Full-Stack development experience

  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and Javascript

  • Experience with jQuery and React

  • Experience with backend frameworks such as Ruby on Rails and NodeJS

  • Experience with databases such as SQL, No-SQL, and Caches

  • Experience executing responsive front-end designs with mobile in mind

  • Experience working with a UI/UX designers

  • Experience fixing bugs and testing for usability
     

Responsibilities

  • Develop new user-facing features using React.js

  • Develop new backend business logic and workflow systems in NodeJS

  • Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use

  • Collaborate with UI/UX designer and translate designs and wireframes into high quality code

  • Optimize components for maximum performance across an array of web-capable devices and browsers

  • Serve as a technical evangelist to advocate for user experience

  • Clearly communicate with technical and non-technical colleagues

  • Design and create a robust, scalable architecture

  • Diagnose and resolve inefficiencies in the engineering process

Compensation & Benefits

Annual compensation target is $100,000-$120,000 plus equity, compensation, and benefits.
