Dataiku is looking for a Solutions Consultant specialized in Financial Services and Insurance (e.g., Retail Banking, Credit Cards, Investment Banking, Insurance, Fintech, or other related experience) to join Dataiku’s Business Solutions team. The Solutions Consultant will act as a Subject Matter Expert for Financial Services and will fuel the development of data, analytics and AI solutions relevant to Financial Services firms: from concept to design to go-to-market. Your role will be key in supporting the accelerated development of Dataiku in the Financial Services space and partnering with firms across the industry on their ambitious transformation trajectories. Your mission will be run in tight partnership with all Dataiku’s key teams: Sales, Customer, Partnership, Product and R&D.


For Colorado-based roles: This position has an estimated minimum annual salary of $150,000, plus opportunities for equity. Dataiku offers additional incentives for eligible roles which may or may not include discretionary cash compensation through Dataiku's incentive compensation program. Dataiku also offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, pre-tax commuter benefits, a 401k company match, paid vacations, paid parental leave, employer paid disability coverage, and additional health and wellbeing perks and benefits. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits for the position, will be at Dataiku's sole discretion, and determined by a myriad of factors including, but not limited to, the qualifications of the candidate and other relevant business considerations. In this role you will:

  • Be a Subject Matter Expert for Financial Services: Leverage your expertise and experience of Financial Services (challenges, objectives, specific areas of focus and types of roles, use-cases and impact) to support the development of Dataiku’s reputation and capabilities as a thought-partner and enabler of success with Financial Services firms:
  • Articulate Dataiku’s specific value proposition for Financial Services firms, and enable internal and external facing teams to articulate this value proposition effectively.
  • Support the capitalization of internal knowledge and client experiences in the Financial Services space (e.g., adoption stories, use-cases) by developing relevant material to share internally and externally.
  • Support sales and customer activities targeting Financial Services firms: help sales teams understand customer dynamics, act as a key spokesperson with Financial Services prospects and customers, support executive engagement on this client segment internally.
  • Boost Dataiku’s visibility in the market as a compelling and effective thought-partner with Financial Services firms.
  • Help build impactful partnerships to accelerate development in the Financial Services space.

  • Build Solutions: As a key member of Dataiku’s Business Solutions team, you will play an instrumental role in the development of Dataiku ‘Solutions’: focused projects which directly address real-world needs for clients in specific industries, functions, and roles (see here for more: https://www.dataiku.com/learn/samples/?filter%5Bsamples-topic%5D=industry-solution):
  • Fuel and qualify the Solutions development pipeline through business experience, client workshops, market research, partnership discussions, and more. Develop solid business plans and monitor progress for all Solutions projects. 
  • Work with the Solutions taskforce (Product, R&D, UX, Partnerships, Data Scientists, and others) in ensuring prompt development of relevant projects, including: off-the-shelf solution design, customer-specific solutions, partnership launches, and more.
  • You will act as a business lead for these initiatives, supporting smooth project management across all dimensions, ensuring alignment with all internal teams and management of critical dependencies. 
  • Support a global push for existing and new Solutions by structuring relevant documents, enabling internal teams, leading customer interactions, building go-to-market material, and more.

Who you are:

  • 5-10 years (seniority of role can adapt to candidate) of experience within the Financial Services industry, with experience and understanding of one or more business lines or products, or an industry-specialized function such as Risk.
  • Strong understanding of how financial services firms position themselves within the consumer, commercial or institutional markets, and how their product lines make revenue and incur cost.
  • Understanding of the impact and management of regulatory obligations by financial services firms.
  • Proven track-record of designing and implementing analytics embedded solutions or tackling challenging transformation topics.
  • Experience working within a role as part of, or in direct support of, leadership teams. 
  • Very strong experience in project management, capable of orchestrating multiple projects while supporting associated teams simultaneously.
  • Able to create detailed recommendations and offer clear guidance to others, and capable and willing to directly build and deliver projects yourself.
  • Proven track record working with diverse teams, and successfully engaging them on complex or specialized topics.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), able to clearly articulate and present complex situations and concepts to varied audiences.
  • Based in North America and able to travel both within that region and to other continents (10% of the time)
