Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, the Vice President of OEM Sales will be responsible for managing and driving Webroot’s global OEM sales.  The mission of the OEM organization is to establish key relationships leveraging all elements of Webroot’s portfolio and core technology to be integrated into the OEM’s core offering. With travel to clients and prospects up to 70%, the VP OEM Sales will be driving the Webroot solution to become fundamental to the OEM’s success in the security market place.

Key partnership focus areas include:

1.    Hardware and software firms interested in embedding core Webroot technologies into their offerings.  Examples:  F5 Networks, Sourcefire, Palo Alto Networks, Juniper, etc.

2.    Mobile business development focused on embedded technology and distribution partnerships with handset manufacturers, carriers, distributors, and MDM providers.  Examples:  NEC, Samsung, Vodafone.

3.    Named accounts with which Webroot can partner to establish unique and compelling go-to-market advantage for Webroot and its partners. Examples:  HP, Microsoft, IBM.

4.    Key vertical focus areas through which Webroot can accelerate market penetration and scale that would otherwise be challenging through direct pursuits.  Examples: Banking, E-Commerce, MSSPs & CSP providers.

Reporting to the VP of OEM will be 5 OEM team members covering NA, EMEA, and APAC. The VP of OEM is responsible for the Webroot offerings when establishing strategic relationships.  This includes:  Content Classification, URL Reputation, IP Reputation, WSA Consumer Offerings (AV, Essentials, Complete, Sync/Share, Mobile), WSA Business Offerings (Endpoint, Web, Mobile), Flowscape Anomaly Detection and other core technologies such as the mobile SDK, ID Now, and Identity Shield.  

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of executive management experience in leading teams selling to OEM customers with progressively increasing growth and revenue performance.

In order to truly establish a strategic partnership, the VP of OEM must be highly skilled in leading strategic account plannings that clearly highlight the partners’ priorities and challenges, define how Webroot’s technologies can be utilized to assist those partners in achieving their goals or addressing their challenges, and outlining the clear steps and milestones needed to progress the relationship.  The VP of OEM must effectively lead his/her team in account mapping to facilitate relationship building with key sponsors, influencers, and decision makers across the organization.  The VP of OEM must be technically knowledgeable and competent in discussing the breadth of Webroot’s technology portfolio, as well as, nurture, recruit and manage team members with similar qualities. 

The VP of OEM must be able to effectively engage with Webroot technical resources, executives, and board members to effectively scope and progress opportunities.  Other core skills brought to bear include profitability modeling, business case creation, and business and legal term negotiations. 

The VP of OEM will be responsible for building, growing, managing and mentoring a high performance team with these advanced skills, and driving over 40% year on year growth to ensure Webroot’s leadership as a security solutions provider to the OEM security landscape. The Candidate MUST have extensive senior leadership in the OEM segment leading and developing a senior sales team.
