Craftsy is looking for a Video Production Tech to join our team! Our Video Production Tech will be responsible for the daily technical activities at our multiple studio production facility based in Denver, Colorado. Our Video Production Tech will conduct set-up and maintenance of our 6 production studios, control room systems and various edit systems to ensure our productions are set up for success. We’re looking for someone who has a solid understanding of typical studio and control room equipment including cameras (robotic and manned), lighting, switching, and sound equipment. Production is at the heart of what we do at Craftsy and we’re looking for someone who will step in and demonstrate commitment, enthusiasm and energy along with exceptional results.  
 
As our Video Production Tech, you will: 
  • Assist in managing the team’s equipment, software and production studios 
  • Adapt to new situations and troubleshoot problems that surface including compression abnormalities, Adobe suite project file corruptions, and more
  • Be actively involved with other Craftsy team members to ensure excellent technical services and the highest quality output
  • Be responsible for quality control checks of file and directory structures
  • Test of 3rd party plug-ins and edit software
  • Install, support, and maintain all aspects of multi studio production facility
  • Create, configure, and maintain  Mac OSX edit machines
  • Interface with equipment manufacturers and vendors
  • Communicate effectively with the Craftsy team and others visiting the studios
  • Take on new and evolving duties as assigned
Your background and experience likely include, but are not limited to the following: 
  • 3 plus years with NLE systems, Adobe preferred
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline  
  • Experience in a larger post production house environment supporting multiple projects simultaneously
  • Expertise in technical video production systems
  • Minimum 2 plus years with MAC OSX
  • Experience with third party After Effects and Premiere plugins
  • Knowledge in multiple codecs and know the pros and cons of each
  • Experience with field gear and systems
  • Experience with on-set processes/procedures 
  • Demonstrated willingness to work within a business environment 
  • Openness to change and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Exceptional ability to collaborate and work in a high-pressure, team oriented environment
  • Initiative and ownership, in particular through change and without constant supervision or structure
  • Experience with metadata tagging preferable
