Responsibilities
• Work with a team of designers, engineers and product owners to create design solutions that improve our products at ShaleApps, and ensure they are properly implemented.
• Push the vision of our brand and user experience forward.
• Challenge your teammates, while also letting yourself be in a position to accept feedback and grow.
• Perform regular user testing and research.
• Contribute to regular design demos and reviews.
• Contribute to our global style guide and design systems across the web, android and iOS.
• Be ready to pair design when you are stuck or trying to solve a complex problem.
• Ask a lot of questions, and bring informed decisions on your design solutions.
• Take full ownership of your designs from research and wireframing, to mockups and interactive prototyping.
Requirements
• You want to work with a team of designers, engineers and product owners who are all working towards a common goal of creating the best experience possible in our industry.
• You understand that it takes an entire team to create a great product.
• You've got a great sense of both visual design and usability, and are constantly pushing for improvements in both areas.
• You enjoy the challenges and rewards that come from working in a startup environment.
• Experience designing for the web and mobile, with relevant work examples that showcase this.
• You can distill and solve complicated problems in unusual and innovative ways.
• You can work both within the design system we are establishing at ShaleApps, while also knowing when and where to push it forward.
• You can clearly communicate the reasons behind your decisions and the problems you are trying to solve.
• Knowledge of today's leading design tools (Sketch, Figma, InVision, Principle, Zeplin, etc.).
