The Role:  

The Training Specialist ensures that employees, customers, and suppliers are educated and knowledgeable on TraceGains products. The Training Specialist facilitates world-class learning experiences for TraceGains employees, customers, and suppliers by creating reusable and scalable training material and digital content. This role will work directly with customers, suppliers, and internal teams, including R&D, Professional Services, Sales, and Marketing. If you are a forward-thinking individual with knowledge in technical documentation, utilization of media and software to expand user knowledge, and have a passion for designing user success strategy this is the role for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Build out the company’s learning center for employees, customers, and suppliers
  • Be forward-thinking by creating a digital library that shows employees, customers, and suppliers how to use TraceGains products in the context of their specific role
  • Implement help content and training strategy to reduce support inquiries and facilitate a “self-help” model for users
  • Utilize user guidance tools to assist users through various tasks and processes
  • Translate technical specifications into end user content
  • Lead customer- and employee-facing trainings which may be face-to-face or virtual
  • Provide support and implement training initiatives
  • Create and update media, including video, to support onboarding programs, training curriculum, and webinar training content as the TraceGains products evolve
  • Identify and create online learning content based on measures of success
  • Effectively present material to customers and suppliers to enhance learning at all levels
  • Recognize and understand different learning styles of your audience (ADDIE) when presenting
  • Conduct training gap analyses and define learning objectives for employees, customers, and suppliers
  • Evaluate training programs and learner performance, and recommend and initiate continual improvements
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the TraceGains products and speak to how each one brings efficiency and value to their role
  • Execute effective time management skills and efficient output evidenced by well-developed training materials while under fixed deadlines
  • Travel if required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree desired in business or related field
  • 3-4 years’ experience in creating digital training media, using Camtasia or similar media software
  • Experience in developing education materials from curriculuma and delivering training, required
  • A background in technical documentation a plus
  • Background in working with manufacturing or supply chain industries and experience in food manufacturing a plus
  • Knowledge of ERP, supply chain management, warehouse management, quality systems, procurement, or relates business is a plus
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Fluency in HTML and/or CSS preferred
  • Passion for designing user success strategies
  • Ability to build a strong rapport with subject matter experts to research, scope, and design learner-centered curricula
