The Telecom Support Engineer will have at least 3 years of experience in a professional, hands-on technical support role specifically with Avaya systems. You should have a demonstrable ability to evaluate and review architecture and new technologies and make recommendations on vendor contracts and software as well as have excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities include but not limited to: 

  • Serve as primary support contact for 600+ H.323 Avaya nodes throughout Webroot’s global infrastructure
  • Support Telecom Architecture for 24/7/365 Call Center
  • Create appropriate network design, process and procedure documentation
  • Maintain relationships with network carriers and hardware manufacturers. 
  • Actively manage support ticket  queue including appropriate updates
  • Maintain local hardware inventory

Skills required but not limited to:

  • In-depth knowledge of VoIP; experience with Avaya VoIP Products
  • In-depth knowledge and implementation skills of next generation communications such as SIP-VoIP/Digital Voice 
  • In-depth knowledge of IP Routing, Quality of Service technologies with demonstrated implementation in a large enterprise organization
  • Capable of project managing complex technical projects, and communicating status to stakeholders, internal customers and leadership 
  • Solid experience with networking protocols and components within a corporate WAN
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
