Job Description

As a Technical Services Engineer you’re a service enthusiast and technical evangelist for the customer, and your curiosity continuously improves your knowledge and skillset. You’ll own complex technical customer issues, engaging all available resources and knowledge sources to find a solution.  You’ll also own coding and automation projects to use your creativity to provide solutions internally to the Customer Success Team.

Responsibilities

In this role, with guidance and direction from the Senior Technical Services Engineer, you will:

  • Be a technical SME (subject matter expert) and authority on our product and how it integrates with other platforms
  • Work with our clients, our Customer Success Managers, and our Product Engineers to design complex integration implementation plans
  • Support our clients, ensuring their integrations to Kapost are running smoothly, API customization questions are answered, and technical issues escalated from Tier 2 Support are resolved
  • Write, implement and support internal Support and Customer Success tools and solutions
  • Create and update technical documentation
  • Provide input and insight to Engineering in order to drive product improvements
  • Work with Engineering for knowledge gain, escalation and technical documentation
  • Work with Customer Success Managers to fulfill customer needs
  • Work with Support and Engineering professionals from other software vendors when our clients are integrating Kapost with their tools

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Scripting experience, specifically Ruby
  • Strong knowledge of and familiarity with Excel including VBA
  • Strong knowledge of Web Services
  • Strong experience in SaaS technology, including SSO, DNS, browser support, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical and technical audiences
  • Inherent problem-solver with desire to learn and take on responsibilities
  • Strong customer empathy
  • High aptitude and a passion for rapid learning
  • A team player who will lean-in, and who truly loves serving both internal and external customers

 

Additional Helpful Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with CMS applications – Wordpress, Drupal, AEM, Sitecore
